Can it really have been two months?
As I expected, I have been terrible at updating this blog. I'm going to make it a priority to update. Maybe no one will read it, but if nothing else this will chronicle the early years of our daughters' lives!
Since I last posted Daniela has begun smiling and cooing. She is an easy, quiet baby. Not sure if that is just her personality or because we (I) are more relaxed this go round.
Isabella continues to be a bright, fun smart child. This week she is obsessed with Snow White (and poison apples) and jail. Yes, jail. Go figure. There is a local amusement/kiddie park she went to a few months back that has an old west type of town with buildings kids can go in and out of, one of which is a jail. To compound the jail craze, she was at Children's Discovery Museum this week and asked a girl playing there where her father was (she was there with Francisco) and the girl touted; He is in jail. Oh boy.
Daniela continues to have tons of fun, crazy velvety soft mahogany/chocolate colored hair. It is hard to capture in pictures, but it is super dark brown with red undertones. Her eyes are still blue. A deep dark blue, not the jewel tone blue Izzy's eyes are.
We went to dinner today at the local Creamery (great burgers and ice cream) and Santa was there. Isabella refused to go near him, so no photo of both gals with him but we have one with Daniela and Santa.

Welcome to the Jungle!
Okay, so I've been of to a slow start with this blog. Our newest addition to our family arrived October 19th, 2009. Daniela Marie made her appearance just a day before her due date (def. taking after her mom-always early or on time). She was 9 lbs 2 oz (wow) and 20 1/2 inches long. Way bigger than her older sister (who was a mere 7 lbs 4 oz). She looks JUST like her daddy and we are finally adjusting to the chaos that ensues after bringing a new little one home to a house with 2 dogs, a cat, fish and a toddler!
Francisco was off work for one week and I've survived the first week by myself. Isabella has gone to day care for part of the day while Francisco works to give me time to feed the baby (non-stop nurser!) and relax just a bit.
Off to load some pics to share and more to follow for sure. Tomorrow is Halloween and that should make for some fun photos!

Isabella is 3!
Okay, so I'm backwards blogging a bit, but my daughter turned three almost 2 weeks ago. We had a curious george themed party, complete with rented bounce house, pinata, monkey cake and we had tons of fun.
Often I look at her and wonder how it happened? How did she get so big, so smart, so sassy? (My mom says the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and I know I can be, er, sassy at times!)
I'm proud to have such a strong-willed, smart child (remind me of that when she wakes me up 4 times tonight, please!) and am excited to be adding another sassy sibling to the mix soon!
Mic check, is this thing on?
So, I've decided to try blogging again. I'm terrible at keeping up with uploading pics, I'm terrible at scrapbooking (well, never tried, but intended to) and am hoping I'll be slightly less terrible at keeping this blog updated.
Why? A few reasons. I'd like to be able to have somewhere to direct my family to be able to keep up on photos and videos and breaking news on our growing family. Also, I'd love to be able to keep a mini journal of our daily happenings here. I would like to document the funny things my kid(s) say and not lose them on scraps of paper.
So, if you've made it this far, hooray!
As for an update for today....well.... I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant with my second daughter. I expecting to be pregnant for quite some time still (my guess is she'll come on October 18th, but that is a random guess...) but I have hope for the full moon coming in 2 days (ha!).
